Read all about it!
I am a very experienced graphic artist and designer with a successful background in working for one of Australia’s largest media organisations (News Corp, the owners of the Mercury newspaper in Hobart) and meeting demanding deadlines. I have formal qualifications in graphic design and illustration from the University of Tasmania, and I gained considerable experience and expertise during my 24-year career at the Mercury.
I have extensive experience in publishing and print production, together with strong general skills and experience as a graphic designer, artist and illustrator. I have often worked under considerable pressure in deadline-driven environments to produce high-quality designs for print and digital platforms.
I have built expert skills in newspaper, magazine and editorial design. Other skills include fine art production, book design, website design, illustration, publishing, together with more general graphic design services such as posters, brochures, signage, logos and business cards.
I am very experienced with Adobe Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator, and the requirements for producing finished art for print, and for preparing artwork and images for use online. In the digital publishing area I am skilled with the WordPress content management system, website design, development, content management and maintenance. I have a good understanding of HTML and CSS within that platform, database setups, cPanel operations, FTP and MAMP.
I am also a Tasmanian wildlife artist, and the published illustrator of Animals of Tasmania: Wildlife of An Incredible Island (Bryant and Squires, 2009). I am a featured artist in the Cradle Mountain Wilderness Gallery’s Tiger Room, and I sell limited edition prints of my Tasmanian wildlife artwork here on my website. I would love to help you with your creative visual communication needs, and am happy to help with projects large and small. Websites, books, posters, magazines, art, illustration, logos and business cards are all part of my services.
